Cliff brings a varied background of legal experience to his practice. He was called to the Bar of British Columbia in 1993. He has acted as Federal Crown Counsel, Counsel for the Director of Ministry of Children and Family Development and as counsel in the areas of family law, general civil litigation and personal injury, both on behalf of plaintiffs and defendants. He also has extensive experience as an independent insurance adjuster where he handled both bodily injury and property claims.
Cliff has appeared at the Provincial Court and Supreme Court of British Columbia obtaining successful results for clients at both levels. His approach to litigation is one of reasonableness and practicality, attempting to work with all parties towards a fair resolution, including the use of mediation and other out of court processes. However, if that approach is not successful, he is always prepared to proceed to trial.
Cliff has taught at the Professional Legal Training Course and continues to use those skills to lecture his children.
When not practicing law Cliff plays hockey, golfs poorly, comes up with excuses to avoid exercising and spends time with his family.
